Current MHS Band Members are welcome to perform with the Mandeville Junior High School Band at the last MJH home football game on Wednesday, October 19th at MHS Stadium. In order to participate, you must wear your MHS Blue Band Polo with khaki pants or khaki shorts or blue jeans. Your Band Polo will identify you as an alumnus and gain you free entry into the game. School approved shoes such as tennis shoes must be worn. No flip-flops or crocs.
You must bring your own instrument and a flip folder with MJH Pep Band Music: Hey Song, Land of a Thousand Dances, Oye Como Va, Football Cheers, LSU Cheers. For percussion: Beat Street, Steppin’ Out, Rocket. If you do not have this music you will get it at the game. You really ought to be able to sight-read this stuff by now J!
Your parents are more than welcome to attend but they will have to pay admission ($3-$4). Ms. Pulling would like to get a general count of have many MHS band students are interested in participating by Tuesday, October 11th. She will then be able to decide which pieces, if any, to add to the repertoire for that night. However, you must officially sign-up on the sign-up sheet that Mr. D has if you intend to commit to performing with us on that night by Monday, Oct 17th.
Alumni Band is to meet in the stands at 6:00pm and the game will end at approximately 8:15pm.
Please remember that we will all be performing on October 19th in support of Mandeville Junior High School.
